Outfit Post: Purple Hues

Top: Pennys/Primark, Leggings: Forever21, Blazer: River Island (current sale), Boots: New Look, Parrot necklace: Accessorize, Watch: River Island

I  bought this top from Pennys/Primark recently for €3! Whatta bargain - I'm liking the sleeve length a lot! And this blazer? I popped into River Island the other day after announcing their sale and picked this up for €40, deducted from €95! Whoo! I never usually wear all the same hues of one colour but I like how this all turned out!
Whatcha think?

Happy Easter!

D.I.Y - cut out denim shirt

If you like my Facebook page you would've seen my sneak peek of this D.I.Y HERE

Ever find yourself with too many shirts? Yea some of you may say "You can never have too many shirts" but I actually do. With four check shirts and three denim I thought Hey! time for a D.I.Y to mix things up a little. I chose a denim one I've had for years from Pennys/Primark that I haven't worn in yonks! So, what would it be? studs? Patchwork? Or converting it into a crop top maybe? NOPE - Cut-out!

The cut-out is pretty popular when it comes to dresses but with shirts it's more of a mini trend. I decided to snip out the panels at the front where it covers the collar bone. The collar bone is pretty sexay on a lady if you ask me, so instead of flashing your cleavage why not cover up in a shirt yet bare your clavicles with cut-out? It's a win-win situation! Well, maybe not so much for the opposite sex but hey, Girl Power!

Anyway lets get started...

Here's the shirt in it's original condition

Wrap your head up

This summer hosts the return of the head scarf - be it 40's inspired or hippy chick. Sport a hijab, turban, or a simple knot or bow - there's so many ways to rock this mini trend. Take a look at these pics for some inspiration.

Although its quite a mini trend, it's definitely one with a bit of attitude! I'm most definitely gonna be whipping out some of my grandmothers old silk scarves for some re-living! Will you?

Let me know what you think, comments and followers are mucho appreciated!

Outfit Post: Aye Aye Captain!

So last night we went out for dinner for one of the girls' birthday and being the scabby poor students we are, examined our ents cards cards and decided that a two for one meal and €3 cocktails in Captain Americas was the way to go!

I decided to go quite casual, we weren't going out afterwards so I kept it pretty minimal. Few gold accesories, a slap of red lippy and my primrose yellow embellished blazer. To keep warm: My trusty camel coat!

We took the photos after dinner so it was quite dark but hey they turned out aaaaalright!

Something must've been funny for me to be pulling that face!

Dress: H&M, Blazer: River Island, Boots: New Look, Coat: Forever 21, Bag: Ritsy Rags thrift shop -  bought it for  €1!!, gold hoops: Pennys/Primark, Gold band ring: H&M(from a set of 5), pearl ring: Accessorize(pack of 5), gold chain: H&M

Hope you're all having a FAB week, whoo tomorrow's Friday!

Jewellery Obsessed

So recently I came across the Versace inspired lion head necklace fad. I instantly hopped into the den and joined the pride. Celebrities, especially Rihanna, and street stylistas alike have been seen donning these roaring chains a lot lately and now I'm in pursuit of finding the perfect one for me (by perfect I mean affordable). I found some pretty well priced ones on eBay, scroll down for the links!

Here are some groovy snaps I found scrolling through the inter-web.

Click HEREHERE and HERE for listings on eBay.

NEXT piece of jewellery I keep squawking about is bird claw rings and bracelets. I discovered the bracelets last year but they were usually around €16-€20 to buy, however much I wanted one I couldn't spend THAT much on one bracelet. So usually I just gawked at photos and others wearing theirs. The rings only popped up a couple of months ago but being cursed with sausage fingers and the rings only coming in one size meant it could never be.
Alas, at the vintage shoot I was assisting (see the post HERE) I spotted a gold claw bracelet, tried it on and played around with it. Then, to my surprise, at the end of the day we were packing everything away and Irene (stylist) hands me the bracelet and says to keep it!! DELIGHTED!

Luckily for you guys I found on eBay a fairly cheap seller, check it HERE.
In the meantime look at these beauties!

And here is my beloved

Enjoy yo Thursday yo!
